Hypnobirthing is a fully comprehensive childbirth class that will take you through each step of labor and birth and give you the training and tools to have a more comfortable birth. You and your birth companion will learn simple breathing, relaxation exercises and self-guided hypnosis techniques that allow you to trust your natural birthing instincts. HypnoBirthing teaches that in absence of fear and tension, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of labor. Hypnobirthing has proven to bring confidence, calm and comfort to the birthing mother and baby. This series is 5 weeks long and the registration fee includes the cost of the series and all supplies needed. Ideal to start this series by the beginning of your third trimester.

In addition to these class topics, you will have the opportunity over the class series to learn about and practice relaxation techniques and receive feedback from your instructor.

Class fee includes participant and one support person. Support persons are encouraged to attend.

Class length: 5 class sessions, 2.5 hours each

Weather policy: Information about cancellations due to inclement weather or an area emergency can be obtained by calling the Inova Well weather hotline at 703-698-2444. Class cancellations do not always follow local public school closings.To reschedule or request a refund for cancellation due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances call 703-698-2441. Classes not rescheduled within 30 days of cancellation will automatically be refunded to the credit card used for registration. These non-registrant initialed cancellations, refunds and transfers will not incur a 20% processing fee.

What to bring:

Please bring a printed or electronic copy of your confirmation email to your class. Feel free to bring a snack, there aren't any vending machines or cafertias nearby.
