Connection Changes the Brain: Rethinking Addiction and Recovery

This summit invites participants into a deeper understanding of addiction—one that integrates brain science, behavioral health, and the human need for connection. Participants will explore how addiction alters brain pathways, how treatment supports healing and decision-making, and why relationships and community are central to recovery. Blending science with lived realities, this event aims to reduce stigma, strengthen understanding, and reinforce that recovery is possible when individuals are supported by compassionate systems of care.

Participants will enjoy content delivered by Dr. Yngvild Olsen, screen selections from a newly released family recovery documentary, and have ample opportunities to connect in community.
