The AHA’s BLS Provider Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2025 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. This 4-hour instructor-led classroom course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both out-of-hospital and in-hospital. Training participants to promptly recognize and respond to several life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality CPR, and provide early use of an AED. The BLS Provider Course teaches rescue techniques for adults, children, and infants. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing.
Card: After successful completion of skills testing and written exam with a passing score of 84%, a certification card valid for two years will be issued via email within 3-5 business days after the date of your course.

Requirements to Pass: Successful completion of CPR skills according the AHA Guidelines and a written exam are required to pass this course.
Course Manual: Your BLS course manual will be mailed to you within three business days of registration if your registration is completed more than a week prior to the course start date. If you register a week or less prior to the start of your class, you will need to pick up your book at the Inova Well office or request an eBook. If you would like to pick up your book or want to request an eBook, please call 571-472-1401. If you select an eBook, it is not returnable once the online code has been emailed to you.

Who should enroll: This course is for healthcare providers and trained first responders who provide care to patients in a wide variety of settings, those in a healthcare training program, or those who are taking basic life support for the first time.

Enter the building via the main entrance on Innovation Park Drive (under the sky bridge), take elevators up to 2nd floor, exit elevators to your right and follow signage to conference room (on your right).

Parking notes: Please allow extra time for parking and walking to the classroom as the parking lot is very busy with daily events. Please note we have a strict on time arrival policy and we cannot accommodate students who arrive after the class start time.

To reschedule or request a refund for cancelation due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances call 571-472-1401. Classes not rescheduled within 30 days of cancelation will automatically be refunded to the credit card used for registration. These non-registrant initialed cancelations, refunds and transfers will not incur a 20% processing fee.
What to bring: Please bring your Basic Life Support Provider Manual with you to class. If you received an ebook you will be provided with a loaner hard copy book to borrow during class.
